Rambling

This should be great as far as rambling goes.

I got a phone call Monday morning from the current PTA president. She told me that my name has been mentioned several times as great candidate for the PTA president next year or co-president. WTHeck!!! Who spreads such rumors? I work full-time. I am considering a change in agencies (details to come later) and won't be available during the day, but will be home at night as a mom. I don't have that kind of time and I am planning on moving. For certain now.

I have been rewarded at work. Apparently when you do a good job they give you more work. Ok, thanks for the compliment, but I am not home to be a mom in the evening and that is more important than being a therapist. Don't you see that if I am not a good parent my children will end up in a place like the one I am working in. NOT my plan, people. I am also getting very burned out.

So I am looking into another agency. It's a fab place to work, so a lot of others want the job, too. I'm just waiting to see. The job hasn't closed yet, so it's still a bit of a wait.

Monkey Wrench: Mom, I won't be leaving my scriptures at Seminary all the time. I'm going to keep them in my truck.

Me: Why's that?

Monkey Wrench: Well a couple nights a week my Shelby and I are going to read the scriptures together.

Me: Ok. That sounds like a good date. Cheap, too. *Thinking Awwww, THAT'S AWESOME!!!!*

Monkey Wrench: Yeah, we thought so, too. *About the cheap date thing*

Massage Monkey has been doing is own thing.. He stayed home this past weekend and cleaned the house and worked. He went to a movie with grandma on Friday and enjoyed his time alone.

In the Jeep yesterday after picking up girls from school and dropping them off to take Monkey Wrench to doctor:

Tree Monkey: Bye mom. I'll take your bag in for you.

Me: Thanks sweetie. I'll see you when I get back.
(to Mini-me): Will you please throw this bag in the garbage on your way in the house?

Mini-Me: Why me? *Say that with the most drama queen voice you have* Ugh.

Me: (Growling) Because I asked you to and you always want me to do what you ask. Quit whining!
That'll earn me mom of the year for sure. >:(

Today, I home doing laundry, reading blogs, changing bedding, vacuuming floors. . . . I realize that I miss my SAHM title.
The dilemma is that I love my job, too. The alone time is wonderful. The domestic duties are refreshing. The hair not done. Contacts not in. Shower? Nope. PJ's. Comfortable. It's a nice break. It ends at 4 PM. I am working 4-7 tonight. It beats the heck out of 10 AM to 8 PM like Monday and Tuesday nights.

I guess I'll go start something yummy, wholesome, and comforting for dinner tonight. Yes, dear friends and family, I am cooking tonight. Miracles do happen ;)
