Monkey Wrench was told to take our newest foster son, Monkey J, and show him the ropes of getting through the lunch line at the local high school. Monkey J is a junior and will be with us until he graduates. He fits right in smoothly.
I digress.
So Monkey Wrench decides to go buy lunch at some location OFF campus. Okay. That was not what I had in mind. Well normally it goes off without a hitch and I am none the wiser.
However, last Thursday was NOT is lucky day :D
As he was driving northbound on a major street he was driving past the local hospital. He tried to swerve out of the way, but he ended up stopping the grandpa that hit him. The grandpa didn't remember getting in the car following his chemotherapy treatment and just didn't stop as he exited the parking lot. Monkey J, Jumping Monkey (Monkey Wrench's new girlfriend) and Monkey Wrench were all ok.
The car? Yeah, Not so much.
When you get in a wreck and your car won't drive you have to call a parent.
*snickers at how this works out*
Don't mind mommy=get in wreck and secret revealed Muahahahahahaha
Busted!
Later I was teasing the boys and Monkey Wrench repeated something that he had said to which I followed up with "and then you said, 'My mom is gonna kill me.'"
He thought Monkey J had told me.
Nope.
I reminded my son that I know him well enough to know what he would say when he knows that he shoulda followed my directions ;)
The former vehicle of Monkey Wrench -the uni frame is bent, so it is totaled:(
The front end of the grandpa's car that Monkey Wrench stopped.
Well, when all the insurance stuff gets worked out we will look for a car to replace the car that my bro and his wife gave us for free. Should be fun.
NOT!

I think you should buy him a Buick. Seriously...look at the very little damage to the old pharts car!
(it is a buick, right?)
Well, at least he took Monkey J with him and didn't leave him to fend for himself in the cafeteria, right? Glad everyone is okay.
Bummer about the accident. I'm glad everyone was ok. Good luck with finding a new car!
I agree with K--least he didn't leave him in the cafeteria.
I'm glad it all turned out o.k. in the long run.
Bummer.
Glad no one is hurt.
I know we don't believe in kharma, but sometimes you wonder!
I'm glad everyone was okay in it, and in a way I am glad that he was there to stop Grandpa - if he didn't remember getting in his car, he really could have done a lot more damage to someone else if he had time to get up speed or black out or something else along those lines. Maybe Monkey Wrench actually was in the right place at the right time... just don't tell him that!
