A Fabulous April Fools Prank- Twarted

I had great plans for today.

Monkey Wrench takes advanced metals and advanced woods. He was granted permission to make a knife in metals and the handle out of antler in woods. He is good to follow the rules of keeping it safe in his teachers possession or to bring in home to show me. He has metals last class of his even class days. (does that make sense?)

I know the school resource officer. His oldest boy went through school with Oldest and we worked together in making communities in our town safer.

I had planned for Monkey Wrench to be "arrested" for having a weapon at school. I have proof.


















So it was all set to go off without a hitch and then he had to have surgery on his left knee so he could walk again without limping.

Lousy excuse to spoil a mom's fun, I think;)

In other happenings:
While he was sleeping on my bed today, so I could wait on him and help him get his meds and make sure he had food to eat and beverage to drink, his phone rang.

Sir-Pounce-A-Lot was resting at the foot of my side of the bed and Monkey Wrench was sleeping on hubs side.

When Monkey Wrench's phone rang he was half out of it from his lortab. It wasn't really bothering him, but it apparently bother the cat. He got up and walked across the bed and tapped Monkey Wrench softly with his paw. He then licked kissed his face. This aroused my semi-invalid enough to realize the phone was ringing and as he went to answer it the phone stopped ringing.

Sweet kitty didn't want our boy to miss a call. Or the other poossible scenario is that he was disturbed by the ringing that was interupting his nap. I'm going with the first, since he was gentle and didn't bite a toe. That's the only place he bites.
