I remember a late night trip to the ER that left me in stitches (pun totally intended- although no stitches were involved)
Monkey Wrench and Koda Bear went for a 3 mile run. When they got home they got a drink of water and then Koda Bear went to wash the sweat off his face. He came out to tell me that his throat was swelling and when I looked up I saw this
I gave him a benadryl and we headed out to the ER.
We got there and the volunteer tech guy came in to take his vitals. He took his pulse, his blood pressure, respirations, and then said "we've only got one thing left . . . to take your temperature."
It was innocent enough.
Koda Bear's eyes got really big and he asked, "it goes in my mouth right?"
Monkey Wrench and I started laughing. Hard. Tears came almost instantly due to the late hour and the look of horror on Koda's face.
A very confused volunteer asked me if I would let him in on the private joke.
I replied, "No joke here. He's just checking to make sure it isn't a rectal thermometer."
He got it. Quick. He played right along so cool and slick like. He said nonchalantly, "We only have one kind of thermometer here". . .he then whipped out a thermometer from behind his back and then he said, "and it goes in your ear."
Oh, the look of relief was priceless.
(epilogue- it was some allergic reaction for which they gave him another benadryl and he was down for most of the next day)
I finally got the fabric pattern and all needed accessories to the seamstress for the bridesmaids dresses.
The invitations are off to the printer.
I attended a team meeting for our newest foster child and signed his treatment plan to agree to do my part.
I managed to work many hours more than I have in the last several months.
I got my nails done and now have pink tips that match the wedding colors. All the bridesmaids will have the same tips :)
I'm sure there's more, but these are the ones that stand out.

Girl...you've been busy!
I hope that Koda Bear is feeling better. Give him a big hug for me. Sounds like you have a fun and busy week.
Wow, poor Koda Bear! Do they know what the allergic reaction was to?
