It was a hard decision to make, but I'd become such a slacker the last year at getting them there on time and sometimes I totally forgot by the time I got home from work. I needed to make a decision of whether or not to even put them in dance. Tree Monkey has grow so much and both girls were making up dances and performing for us. So I made my decision based on location. Because both studio owners are very dear to me and have produced some amazing stuff!
It's just me driving now so we moved back to their very first dance studio. It is less than 5 minutes away when I drive and less than 15 when they ride their bikes.
So I have some SPECTACULAR NEWS!!
They did a dance clinic this week to see if they could get on a competition team.

BOTH GIRLS MADE THE EXCEL TEAM
(it's one below the Company Team which is the highest competing team there is.)

I just wrote all their schedules on the family calendar and WOW!! 3 times a week and then competition in the Spring. I am so proud of my girls for going for it.
Sassy wasn't sure if she wanted to, but at the last minute decided to go for it. She missed dance this last year. She's been dancing since she was teeny. It's genetic ;) No really it is. Both myself and my dad are big dancers. . . . . . . well my dad is probably still dancing in Heaven. I just dont' anymore due to stupid arthritis and fibromyalgia, but I digress.

My daughters are going to shine and I am going to be broke. Happily broke!

Terrific news!!
I've always loved dancing. I was in a dance group when I was younger and I wish I had stayed with it instead of quitting.
Cool! Go girls GO!
Wow! Congrats to both girls! That is tough stuff, and you're right, you will be busy and broke, but what a wonderful thing for them to both get to experience!
Way to go, Girls!!
Congratulations!
Congrats to your girls!
I remember when we switched Isabel from one gym to a closer one. It was a hard decision but best for our family.
How fun. I was never very girly as a young girl (actually I'm still not ; ). My Heidi absolutely loves dance and it makes her so happy. I'm for anything that makes my kids happy--well, you know what I mean) I hope it's a wonderful experience for them.
Having my daughter in dance was so wonderful...except for the driving, haha! ;)
