Gratitude

My total plan was to sleep in today. I didn't though. I woke up at 8 AM. WTHeck?!

I started the turkey last night in my roaster oven and it slow cooked all night. It literally fell of the bones this morning. Then we started a small turkey. I got the veggie tray done, had Jaguar and Tree Monkey peel potatoes- russet and sweet, got the rolls ready to rise and got the table set. One of them any way.

We had Hubs, me, Oldest and Frog, Monkey Wrench and Jumping Monkey, Jaguar, Sassy, Tree Monkey, Li'l Red, My mom, my youngest sister and brother, Frog's little sister, Grammie, and my SIL's little brother -he had to work today :( . It was wonderful to have a house full of people and to have us all eating good grub and enoying each others company. My baby bro is hilarious and rarely gets rattled by much. We were teasing each other- and when I say we I mean hubs and baby bro were teasing everyone, even each other.

We took a movie break before pie. Baby bro was in my room kicking it with Cowboys and the Steelers. I went in to see if he needed anything and he asked me if I had seen The Blind Side yet. He gives me crap for seeing New Moon and not The Blind Side. He's a boy. He wouldn't understand ;) Anyway I told him I hadn't had time yet getting caught up with work and all from the funeral and getting ready for turkey day. He told me, "you've got to see it. The lady it's about is you. Except your husband doesn't own taco bells and whatever else he owns." Uhm, what a compliment. LeAnn motivated this young man to succeed and make something of himself. I am touched that my baby bro thinks that I can do that.

I got to soak in a HOT tub and my joints feel much better than before. After I got out, my DIL texted me to tell me thanks for the food and the day. She brought her little sister over and she and my girls had a fun time hanging out and playing games. I thanked her for bringing he so the girls had some fun, too. She let me know that her sis is very shy and that she did have a good time. Then Frog told me that the Lord has blessed her through us. I was thinking that He had blessed us through her.

Lazy Lion went with his grandparents all day. He had fun and is totally pooped out.

Li'l Red went to the movies with his aunt and uncle after he ate with us.

Jaguar had to work from 4 - 7:30 PM and has now gone off to stay with his aunt and uncle til Saturday.

My life is full. It is busy with good things and filled with amazing people. I am feeling especially grateful for the people in my life.
