I am the oldest child of 5.
Today my youngest brother and my youngest sister and I went to TLC Eye Center for a free consultation for lasik surgery.
My bro got his eyes done about 3 years ago. My sister and I are great candidates.
Only thing is that with hubs being out of work for 3 months I can't really afford to do it right now.
My youngest brother is a giant teddy bear. He gives great hugs and comes to help me out whenever I call and ask. He is a whole foot taller than me. He is a great golfer (and when he gets a wife he won't cheat on her and take ambien and wreck his car). Baby brother rode a 2-wheeled bike at age 3. He is smart and dang good looking. He's also available. ;)
My youngest sister has a Texas sized heart. She is always engaged in some kind of service. She has sacrificed summers to help friends with a number of different things. She is a dedicated pre school teacher. Her students come first at work. She puts in lots of hours working on lesson plans and she truly loves her students.
Today we went up together and had a great time talking and just being together. My baby sister was so excited to get the eye surgery. She has been saving and saving for it. She is great with money and saving. She is simple. She wanted to buy my lunch because we drove my jeep. No way. I bought my lunch and she bought baby bro's cause he drove us up.
My sister isn't letting me wait to save up some money, now that hubs is back to work. She is paying for me to have this eye surgery with her next Friday and I will pay her back with our tax return.
I scored BIG TIME with siblings. My sibs are my friends, too. I'm so blessed to be showered with their love and company.
So the big news is after next Friday

How nice!
Awesome! I think I would be afraid to have that done, even though the results will be great!
That's so rad!! I had LASIK done in 2002 with our tax return and it's the best thing I've ever done totally for myself. I still see 20/15. Good luck and Congrats!!!!
PS. Your sis rocks!
You'll love it! Ryan had his done a couple of years ago and has been so happy with it! He just came home, took a nap, and when he woke up, felt fine - was even playing games on the computer that night! I hope your recovery is just as great! :)
Yay for great siblings!!! :)
Wow! So AWESOME!
That is wonderful. Congratulations.
