Grandpa is in Heaven now, but he taught me lots about cars, fatherly love, and me.
Grandma would make us banana pancakes when we slept over. We got to sleep over with one of our cousins. Grandma would play games with us. She taught me how to play a mean game of Boggle, Life, and many others.
My grandparents had an Atari system where I got sore thumbs from playing Pac Man. They took videos of me and my cousins as we grew up and hosted big Christmas parties where Santa would visit. We visited them each Halloween for trick or treating and Thanksgiving Dinners at tables lined up all along the hugs family room in the basement.
My grandparents taught me how to be a grandparent. To play with my grandchildren and to spoil them.
