Rockin' Baby Shower

My sister-in-law plays the electric guitar (though we have to take her word on it as she has not played for us yet). She and my youngest brother are expecting their first baby, a boy, in September. After being inspired by this lovely face and this busy bee I worked with her mom and am pleased to say that with guidance and a sample to follow I can be creative and make some pretty cool stuff. I did not do all the coolness that they did, but I did some pretty cool stuff for l'il old me.

Yesterday we had her shower. I baked cupcakes (had my mom bake 2 batches for me) and I frosted them all. I also made the album covers to top the cup cakes and my daughter-in-law and I made the vinyls together.

The cupcakes were the hit at the shower. I must thank this site for the great recipes!

We made brownie cupcakes with fluffy peanut butter frosting, orange chiffon cupcakes with coconut cream cheese frosting (my favorite), pumpkin ginger cupcakes with cream cheese frosting, banana cupcakes with cream cheese frosting, and lemon cupcakes with blackberry butter cream frosting.
