Almost Half My Life

I met Mr through a mutual friend that we worked with. Neither of us wanted a relationship. (Ha, ha, ha) We had both recently ended not so good relationships. To make a long story short we were good friends that moved to marriage partners.

So 4 kids, 7 moves, lots and lots of growing opportunities, a trip to the temple to be sealed, time apart as he drove over the road and worked out of state, my college education and grad school, his mom's terminal illness, my dad's unexpected death, his brother's terminal cancer, family members' crazy behaviors, and an amazing second honeymoon cruise . . . . . . . . We now have spent almost half out lives together. Next year it will be half for me and the next year half for him.

So glad I have spent almost half my life with Mr. He has taken care of me on many levels. He is the reason I cook full meals (when I actually do). His presence helps me sleep better at night. When I am about to lose it with the kids he steps in and keeps me sane. He lets me go on excursions to meet fabulous ladies and encourages me to have time with my girl friends.

He is my best friend and the one I tell nearly everything to.

I love you dear. Thanks for giving me a great life and being patient with me while I learn to grow and prune my branches in the best way. Thank you for helping me raise four great kids.

Most of all- thank you for loving me.
