Weekend Activity

Got these almost done. There was a glitch at the printers so I will be picking up the rest Thursday, but the majority are done and I love them. Best part is so does the Bride-to-Be.

I spent the weekend printing pictures, cutting them to size, inserting them into the invites, folding them and addressing the outer envelopes. Sassy put the tissue paper in with the lined, inside envelopes and kept me company.

I literally have enjoyed planning this wedding with Frog and Oldest (what little input he gives us). It is my saving grace. When the foster parenting gets stressful it is the wedding planning that I turn to for relief. It is fun and the only stress about it is not enough money, but isn't that always the case with a wedding? :)

We had a bridal shower yesterday. Only 7 people came from the 45+ I invited. It was sad. I wonder if the pouring rain had something to do with it. It was really coming down. My maternal grandma, and aunts came as did a cousin on my dad's side, my BFF Amy, and a friend of Frog's that she met through work.

I did expect more to come and was greatly disappointed that others didn't. My BFF from 7th grade was supporting her husband in his church duties and another cousin is house hunting up North where her hubby just got a job. They are excused and thought to call and let us know that they were thinking of us. So sweet.

My fabulous mom and sister hosted this shower and went through a lot of work to make it just right. I am so grateful for them and am lucky that they are my friends as well as my family. Thanks mom and Becca (even though you won't read it here- ha ha ha)
