Random post # I can't remember

Hubs and kids are watching Looney Toons on Cartoon Network. Hubs loves the Buzzard. He makes everyone sit quietly and pay attention when a Buzzard cartoon comes on.

Ray is getting his pacemaker put in today. He has finally been able to fight the infection and has been feeding himself. He is such a prankster. For days he has been teasing the nieces and his girls. It goes like this.

Ray: Hey _______, I need a favor from you. My brother J just got here from Afghanistan and he really kicked my butt hard. Can you rub it for me? Look, I'll even roll over for you.

He of course is totally kidding, but he is convincing. When that one didn't work he switched to a new one.

Ray: Hey _________ can you go over and fill up that pink square thing with water?

They fill the pink hospital bin with water. He then directs them to put some soap in it. They do.

When he tells them to grab the wash cloth most catch on. Those who don't he asks them to wash his butt.

Since I know he would never actually let them I play along.

Sassy gave him a big long lecture on how to eat right. So if we are there during meal time he makes a big deal out of how gross vegetables are and how he hates to eat them. She gives him a look of chagrin and scolds him. It's hilarious to watch.

Pap's funeral is just about all planned. Grammie is a wiz at this. This is the easier part. It's after the funeral when she isn't task oriented that I worry about. Friday was a super sad day for me. I just sort of existed. Saturday I cooked a turkey and we just ate turkey sandwiches all day.

Sunday was a day to sleep in and get caught up on rest. We've had a very busy week and an emotionally and physically draining one. We are doing alright and are grateful for our blessings.

We have been keeping the oil companies in buisiness with our many trips to Salt Lake.

After the funeral this week I'll catch up on work and then get ready for the holidays.

Sassy made peanut butter cookies and banana bread yesterday. Yummmmmm!

The girls are playing name game jr with Nicole (Ray's daughter) and it's a lovely Sunday afternoon.

That's All Folks!!!
