JIngle all the way. . . . .

It's been a busy, crazy, fun, month.

Christmas Eve was a favorite day of mine. We had our annual candlelight dinner to celebrate the birth of Christ and all the blessings that His birth has afforded us. Simple dinner of ham, sour cream and cheddar potatoes (what funeral potatoes were called before someone gave them a different title-and we weren't celebrating a death, but a birth, of Someone so important that without Him life would be very different) where was I? Oh yeah, the menu- ahem- ham, sour cream cheddar potatoes, green beans, sliced french bread, raspberry apple juice, and pumpkin pie- all served on the good plates (in our house that means enough that match) with the nice silver wear (it really is nice) and the crystal water glasses.

A nativity set adorned each table so we could talk about and touch the pieces as we reflected on the birth of our Savior.

We then settled down to play a game and open our Christmas Eve Jammies. I know you all want to see the pictures, but the camera was not picked up by me or anyone. Not even on Christmas morning after the loot was all exposed. We had all of our children plus our youngest foster son and a 14 year old foster child that is on respite (he was naughty in his foster home and gets to take a time out with us-notice I said gets to, not to be confused with wanting to) on Christmas morning. We went to my mom's around 10 AM and then the older kids went off to be with the girls' side of the family.

L'il Red then went to visit his family and Lazy Lion and Jaguar spent Christmas Eve to Sunday night with their families.

Tree Monkey took the tree down on Monday and I don't really want to take down my garland, Christmas Bears, and nativities.

So . . . . .what if I don't take down Christmas this year?

We took our tree down last night, and that was pretty much all we had up. There are a couple of strings of Christmas lights up in the living room, and if they stay there until next year, well it won't be the first time it has happened.

I haven't taken down anything yet. But I mostly blame my husband because I'm waiting on him to bring down all of my tubs and storage containers. However, I'm cool with it this year, I just don't feel the need to hurry and get it all down. Pretty soon that might make me "white trash", but I think I can handle that. ;)

Love your Christmas Eve dinner tradition.

I've been working on taking down decorations--what a job!!!
