GNO New Moon Style

On October 22 I went to the theater to buy New Moon tickets. I knew for sure the 6 people that were coming with me. I got up to pay and felt very strongly that I should buy an extra ticket. I couldn't think of who would use it or a good reason to purchase it, but I did anyway. The 7 tickets sat in my wallet and on Thursday night, November 19, I was waiting for one of my foster sons to come out of his group therapy class. I had the thought to call my BFF Amy and invite her to come.

She has been taking a math class that is very hard and working as a CNA. She starts nursing school in January- Wahoo!! It had been a stressful semester and she really needed some girlfriend time. Had I asked her if she wanted to come back on October 22, she would have told me "no." On Thursday night she said "Really? I'd love, too." Our hubby's ended up getting together at her home with the boys and watching a video and eating pizza and popcorn.

We, Me, Sassy, Tree Monkey, Jumping Monkey, Frog, Stacey, and Frog left my home around 6:30 PM to hit the 7:50 showing. When we arrived there was no parking. Now, the only benefit to having rheumatoid arthritis is that I get a handicap placard due to my limited ability to walk far. When we arrived there was one spot left! But there was a guy parked there with no placard. So I parked behind the cars to the right of him and got out and asked, "Would you mind backing up so we can park here?" He replied, "I'd be happy, too." I then said, "Hey thanks for saving my spot for me." He laughed and replied, "My pleasure." As he started backing up his group of peeps came out. They went to the theater just to buy popcorn! Funny!

We went in and stood in line and after we got our seats we went to buy popcorn. We sneaked our own candy and drinks in. Shhhhh. Don't tell.

We watched New Moon with a good crowd. There were even some guys there and their comments were wayy funny! They did a good job on the special effects. Aaaaaaand the ending. . . . . . . .You will have to go see it. I'm not giving up anything.

Then we went to 5 Guys -Burgers and Fries and let me just say if you get a small fry you better have at least 4 peeps to share with. It's GINORMOUS!!! The burger was heavenly. We split it 3 ways. Then we came home.

Well on the way home, Tree Monkey started her farting. My girls are not lady like in that manner. They are not shy at all. Right Stacey? This started a whole convo of fart stories for us to laugh at on the way home.

I know there was way funny stuff that I can't recall right now. I just know that it was a SUPER FUN TIME!!!! We have already committed to seeing Eclipse in June!!!

THIS JUST IN . . . .

Edward Cullen was home schooled for his culinary classes. He just gave the cooking channel the credit in Stephanie's books.

If you have red Twilight then you know that Edward is a great cook. He makes all kinds of yummy dishes for Bella. He was home schooled. Yes he was. I shall introduce you to his teacher and you will even see him in class-at home. Just clickety here.

If you haven't read Twilight, then you now know one more awesome thing about Edward.

I now return you to your regularly scheduled activities.

You really should comment on this though. Especially if it would make me laugh.

Twilight Movie Review

So today my cousin and I took our girls to see the movie. A second time for Mini-Me and myself.

Let me just say this---I like Jasper. He looks like he is in pain. He is supposed to be in pain. Edward tells us this in Midnight Sun about how much pain he is in. It's killing him to be around Bella AND to have to try and manage her emotions and all the emotions surrounding her arrival and invasion of his family. He does look like Edward uh, Scissor-hands, that is.

Rosalie- Beautiful and just as I pictured her. Self-centered and arrogant just as Stephanie wrote her. I love her sass and her poutyness.

Alice- Yep! That's her and she is perfect and sassy. I would like to have had a little more development behind the relationship between her and Bella, but limited time, so you know. Go read the books and the Midnight Sun. I adore Alice. I want to be her friend.

Esme- Does not order her children around. "Clean up this mess." I'm okay with. The "now" added to the end so not Esme. She is much more gentle than that and NOW wouldn't need to be added. Oooooooohhhhhhh we were talking about the actress. Well, I haven't seen her anything else, so I am okay with her.

Carlisle- Uhm not quite as I pictured him. But he has grown on me.

James- Villian? Why does the bad guy always have to look so delicious. His eyes almost made me forget that I love Edward. Almost.

Victoria- Fab.U.Lous!! Love the end where she is seen bitterly watching Bella and Edward. So true to what she was likely doing. Plotting and planning her revenge for the fate of her late lover. Sigh.

Emmett- where was I? Oh yeah. Emmet. Looks divine and tough and . . . . . . . . . . . . . . . . . . . . . . . . . . . . . . . . . sorry. I'd better move on.

Edward- Not quite as fab as in my head, but does a good job and has great potential as the movies progress. I guess Harry Potter was a little easier script to do, but he can do it the way Edward needs to be played in my brain. I know he can.

Bella- I am fine with her. Just pretty much like Bella. Trying to get certain undesirable photos out said actress of my head is difficult. I'd think I could handle her posing nude before killing her brain cells. Is that why they didn't have her doing all the cooking in the show?

I do like the chemistry at the end of the movie between them. I did notice this time that there is a building of relationship that I didn't notice the first time. They are good together.

Charlie- I was amazed to see how well he was doing. Eating in a diner and being lonely sure didn't have much affect on his weight. Where is is pounch? I also thought he'd be shorter, but taller is okay, too.

Billy- Didn't really think much about him. Was annoyed with his meddling in the book and well, I just haven't given much thought to what he should look like or really act like. I was so okay with Bella being oppositional to him, cause, butt out daddy-o of another kid.

Jacob- Will need a new body and face come New Moon. I have never seen Shark boy, but according to Tori this is not Jacob! She should know. But seriously, he wasn't what I pictured either however he is okay for a young Jacob- in my mind. Not quite hot enough and well, maybe when he is a wolf I can take him more seriously. He didn't really have a big part in Twilight so he did okay for the part- this time. Will definitely need a new actor to cover New Moon and on. Sorry Sharkboy. Jacob the wolf just isn't in you. However, his drastic change will be true to the story line and will hopefully leave us all breathless.

Yes the movie is more tolerable the second time around. I don't love it. I do like it. A lot. I would buy it. I would watch it again and again.

This is not necessarily a reflection on the movie. It's my personal taste. I just like books better. Except for Harry Potter. I just like the movies. Not reading the books. Twilight is the only fantasy I do.

Moral of my story- - don't go see Twilight for the first time on very little sleep and after being awake for nearly 24 hours.

Tomorrow I go see Twilight for the 2nd time.

Yes. I know. I am waaaaay behind, but I am going with my daughters and my cousin and her three oldest daughters.

A family affair and we will have fun. Oh yes we will, cause we can be crazy.

Then I will post my Twilight review.

Twilight- The Movie

Let me set the stage . . . . . .

Thursday, November 20th my schedule went as follows:

1. Get out of bed at the most insane hour of the freaking day 5:45 AM.
2. Quick shower, get ready, and make sure Oldest is here to get girls off to school.
3. At 7 AM begin drive to town that is 1 hour and 30 minutes away with traffic.
4. Make statement to court about the impact perpetrator had on previous client and recommend sentencing based on perpetrators minimization and victim stancing/playing.
5. Drive back the hour and half and go to court with a new client for current job.
6. Get to the office and do paper work: chart notes, record call ins, and set up new client in computer as well as with da Boss for therapist assignment.
7. Come home, change clothes, kiss kids, get something to eat. (This is about 3:30 PM)
8. Go to training class for becoming a structured foster home as requested by a head DCFS/CPS clinician and staff member. This involves another 45 minute drive and 4 hours of class and then the 45 minute drive back.
9. Arrive home about 10:10 PM. Wait for hubs to get home and leave for theater with Mini-Me and Monkey Wrench. Sit in theater eating popcorn and red vines, listening to silly teen girls having fun and smiling at their fantasies.
10. Watch movie. (Details about that coming later) I have to put out teasers to keep readers coming back.
11. Walk about of movie at 2:30 AM thinking I stayed up for THAT!

Now keep in mind that I have some health issues that increase my physical and mental fatigue.

I was feeling discouraged about the whole movie thing, so I called Nancy Face and she helped me see a different perspective.

All week long images from the movie have been flashing through my head and I have decided that I was not of a sound mind or body to make such a negative decision about the movie.

I did like many of the scenes. so I can't say that I didn't like it.
I will go see it again, before making my final opinion.

That is all for now.

NNOOOOOOOOOOOOO!!!!!!!!!!!!

I just spent the last 3 days reading Twilight alongside the Midnight Sun that Stephanie Meyer posted on her site.

All 264 pages.

I NEED more!

It gives insight to Edward and makes Twilight even more interesting. I mean VERY interesting.

It also gives more info and insight to the Cullens' relationships.

It is A.MAZ.ING.!

I need more Midnight Sun. More of Edwards perspective on the whole series.

And more of Jacob's perspective in New Moon.

Please, PLEASE. Stephanie. I'm begging you.

I need you to finish the book. And write the others.

I'll beat up the leakers if that's what it takes. I have help.

The waiting time seems like FOR.EVER.

It feels like PURGATORY; yes that is the right word.

Mother of the Monkey children, again.

Hoping Stephanie Meyer will read MY Blog

I read this at Millie's blog and it has been on my mind ever since. Stephanie shares her pain of being betrayed by someone. Someone took it upon themselves to leak her unedited, unfinished copy of Edward's Twilight version, Midnight Sun. She has decided to shelve her plans to publish it indefinitely.

Here is my plea to Stephanie Meyer

Stephanie,

I am asking you to reconsider your decision to shelve Midnight Sun. There are those out there who will hurt others. Whether it was to get gain or to just hurt you they still managed to hurt you. Recently, I read about the haters of Breaking Dawn. I don't understand fully their response. I can take the research and make deductions to come up with plausible reasons, but the real reason isn't known until I sit down with each one and find out more information.

You have provided many women with good reading material. Women who don't want to read smut, but love a good romance that is well written. You have a following of loyal supporters, that support you because you are an amazing author. Not because you graduated from BYU. Not because you attend a particular church. But because you have brought high quality literacy to our homes.

I was a hold out. My blogging friends were raving about Twilight. I held out. I am not a fan of fantasy novels; at least pre-Twilight I wasn't a fan of fantasy genre. My grandmother asked me to return a book to my mom. She handed me Twilight. I decided to read the book before I returned it to my mom. She was in no hurry to get it back. I now own every book of the series- in hard back. I've read each book more than once. I have read the first chapter on Midnight Sun about 7 times. I love how intellectual Edward is. He thinks a lot. I do to. My love of Edward multiplied and became deeper after reading chapter 1.

Don't let the mean, rude, evil, impulsive people stop you from what I think is going to be your most amazing work. Don't let them stop you from your talent. That would be like burying it. Please, Don't Let Them Win!!!!!!

I would love to be a prereader of your book to help with errors. It's what I do for fun. I know myself and many others that wouldn't allow your precious work to be violated, in turn violating you.

Please reconsider your decision and take a few months to grieve the loss of trust, the loss of power over your work, your investment. Then come back to work on Midnight Sun and embed Edward into our hearts even deeper than he already is (Except for Tori- Jacob is hers- and my 13 y/o daughter- she likes Seth).

Sincerely,

Klin
Keeper of the Jungle and
Stephanie Meyer Fan

PS- I loved the Host. It was great. An interesting line of thinking that really got me thinking.

Do you agree? I think we should all beg Stephanie to be strong and fight back. If you're private you'll have to invite her to read your plea.

As If I Needed Another Obsession

Yes I LOVE the Twilight Series!

My favorite book is Eclipse.

My other favorite book from this series isn't even fully written. It has no release date. All I can do is read THIS! Over and over.
*sigh*

The Revelation

I've kept you all hanging on long enough.

I put the descriptions up and I think they were misleading.

While Mr. has qualities of both Edward and Jacob, those most present right now are similar to Jacob.

I do remember back to the time when he would run his finger across my check or put his arm around my back. He ran his fingers through my hair last night and OOOOOOOHHHHHHHH that felt soooooooo good.

So girls, I already have MY Jacob. I want to have my cake and eat it, too. . . . Soooooooo. . . . .

I'm gonna have to go with Edward.
He makes my heart go pitter patter. I think of him when I'm driving. I'm wondering what he will do next. All this AND he's just a character in a book. Then I go home and snuggle up next to Mr. and I realize that what I like most about Edward and Jacob is what I have in him.

Sappy, I know it. What's a girl to do?

Tori:)- Jacob IS yours! But you already knew that ;)

The Post You've All Been Waiting For

Edward-
He's protective, talented, cold, eternal, hopelessly in love with Bella. He's rich, has sweet vehicles, and he holds his woman for hours and doesn't give in to temptation. He will go to great lengths for his woman. He tries to encourage Bella to do what's best for her, even when she doesn't recognize it. He's always watching out for those that she loves. Oh yeah, and a vampire.

Jacob-
He's tall, protective, warm, human, talented, protective, a best friend to Bella, likes to have fun, is very handy when things break down. He can build vehicles. He lives by the ocean, on a beach. He is a fast runner. He's a werewolf.

Me-
I'm always cold, now. As a teen I was tough due to things I had gone through. I was rarely cold before my hysterectomy. I have some balance issues related to the health issues and the stiffness of my joints. I can get wet and my hair won't get ruined. When it dries, I just fluff it back up into it's curls. I don't do well with humidity. I do sort of like to be dry when I get out of the shower. I like good food, but often feel better when I keep eating to a minimum. I could easily be a vegetarian for the most part. I do love a good filet mignon. I love to make out often and have it end with snuggling. I like something to hold when I grab my man.

Mr.-
He's 1/4 Cherokee Indian. He's got a warmer than normal body temperature (which was passed on to Tree Monkey- Try explaining to people that 99.5 is her usual temp and it's not a low grade fever- not fun) . He is protective. He isn't so fast anymore, but he drives fast;). He likes some food. He is a picky eater and keeps it really simple. He is a carnivore. Pork or Red Meat an Potatoes. He can stay up for hours and when we go on vacation he is the driver due to that talent. He does sleep hard and he snores. He can growl when he doesn't like something. He can grow hair very quickly and have a 5 o'clock shadow by noon. He like to have fun.

I think that Edward is a good fit for Bella. They have a magic in their relationship that they both desire. It is a bit co-dependent so it's not the healthiest relationship, but it suits them.

I like that Bella was able to help Edward and Jacob get on the same page: protecting her!

So, who do you think I am going to choose?

Edward? Jacob?

Cast your vote and I'll post winners after we have some votes ;)

To Be Continued. . .
