Emma Smith

I have never doubted that Emma was an elect lady or that Joseph was the prophet that restored the gospel. I do not judge them for the things that others criticize them for any reason.

Tonight I had the opportunity to go listen to my mom's friend. She is an author. I haven't read any of her books, yet. I haven't read her books, because my favorite genre is mystery and suspense. There is something very intriguing about figuring out who did it. I love the art of figuring it all out. I digress. My mom invited me to come and listen to Anita Stansfield as she shared some of her experience and her testimony of her work on the Book Emma- Woman of Faith.

I cannot put into words all that I felt and all that was shared. I can only tell you that this book is meant to be. The author is a woman of integrity and great talent.

I am so grateful that my mom invited me. As I listened to Anita talk I felt the spirit testify of the truthfulness of what she shared. I had my testimony of Emma affirmed and strengthened. She was an elect lady that suffered much, served many, loved deeply, and led the way for women in the LDS church and the world.

I felt close to tears as I heard the testimony of Anita. Tears of love for Emma and tears of gratitude for all she did for me.
