I'd like to thank the academy . . .

. . . . . for the friends I have made blogging. They bring me joy, humor, tears, and a bond of humanness and girlishness. They know how to keep me sane, party on the beach, make me laugh, inspire my nightly meal preparation, keep up with politics, and to tell me to shut the h&%$ up when I've gone too far. One such friend (whom I really need to meet IRL) gave me this prestigious award.


It comes with a description which translates roughly to:

We all love blogs where the majority of posts target the marvels of friendship. These are people who are not as interested in the awards they are given as the friendships they are creating. Because of that this award may stop. But do we want this award to stop or to keep spreading? Then let’s try to give more attention to those bloggers! We must pass this award to 8 bloggers that in turn must do the same and post this text with it!
