Need to post. Have many thoughts running through my head, but none really formulate into a good post.
Frog and Oldest are doing well. Oldest got laid off for the winter so he is working at his part time job and Frog is working at her job.
Monkey Wrench has been working his part time job and doing side jobs with his dad. He is a hard worker, but full-time jobs are scarce. He is hoping that the new year will bring more jobs and he will be able to get ull time work and start school.
Sassy is sick today, but is usually she is a bundle of energy. She is diligent with her Wii fit. She cooks healthy meals and is good to get the other kids to help her and to clean. She is doing great in school and I am so proud of her. She is very responsible and takes care of her tasks before I even have a chance to think about them. She lets me know what goals she is working on for Personal Progress and what she needs me to do to help her succeed.
Sassy is also starting her pointe ballet. She is so good at ballet that they are asking her to go on pointe. I am so excited for her.
Tree Monkey is still struggling with anxiety when it comes to school and sleeping in her room alone. She is getting better, but there are still struggles. She is getting her dancing down and loves to practice in the living room. She also like to do the activities on the Wii, but sometimes she cheats. She only moves her arms when she is running sometimes. Little cheater pants. ;) She is also in Young Women and it amazes me to see her so grown up and doing big kid things. I know she's 12. But she is my baby and her getting closer to being a teenager is a cool thing to watch and a hard thing to watch. She is so compassionate. She love animals and her friends. She keeps in touch with 2 friends that she grew up with and loves to get together to play with them.
Jaguar is working at his job and passing his classes. He has some learning disabilities so the main stream classes are a bit harder. He got some great stuff for Christmas that he will need when he moves out this summer. He also got a new coat (a real coat) and some gloves from us to keep him warm. It is good to look back and see his growth. His therapist made me cry tears of gratitude last week. He told me that us not letting him run away or leave our home when he got anxious about getting too close to us has helped him have a healthy relationship and has facilitated his being able to move past some of what has happened to him in his life. I have only the Lord to thank for this. It is Him who helped me get the training and who provides this home so that we may open it. It was Him who put others in my life so that I could learn to open my heart to others and see the potential of the spirits that house the bodies of the lost and wayward children. I am only the tool.
I think that this was the best Christmas gift I got.
Lazy Lion is struggling with staying clean with drugs. He has had several relapses and it looks like he will be going to a residential treatment center before he can go home. He will likely come back here after he completes treatment to transition home. I am heart broken that he has made such poor choices. He has had a hard enough time doing school sober and lost a whole semester his freshman year. I wish that I could get through to him. Help him see that he doesn't need drugs to get through life.
L'il Red started Hip Hop dancing today. He started on medication to help him. Bipolar sucks and with all that he has to work through I couldn't watch him suffer with the stuff that is beyond his control all while he is trying so hard to do what is right. He came to us with his aunt and uncle pushing baptism. He wasn't ready for it. He had some behaviors that are contrary to the gospel of Jesus Christ. We have been able to see him work through and stop those behaviors. His aunt and uncle are learning what they need to know to handle him and his brother and sister. They will move to adopt him and his siblings when we reunify. Then 6 months later they will be sealed as a forever family in the temple. So exciting to see the great progress they are all making.
Now, let's talk Wii. I got it for Christmas. I bought it. Sassy wrapped it up and wrote from the hubs. We got the sports package and the Wii fit. I do it about 3 to 4 times a week. Today I beat Oldest's score in the boxing and opened up an advanced version of boxing. The advanced version kicked my trash. Today. I will conquer it. Within the month. I hope.
Well that's a long update, but I think everyone should be up to speed with us now. Did I leave anything out?

I love updates :)
Busy family!
I got out of the wii habit. I need to get back to at least using it for exercise occasionally!
Goodness you guys are busy. Phew, I get tired just reading what you're doing--can't imagine actually DOING IT.
Good job on the Wii fit.
