Main Course- Sunday Morning Session

Henry B. Eyring-
Pride is the great enemy of unity.
We can be a peacemaker- whether we are in the conflict or an observer.
Help others see the truth they have in common.
If you can't say anything nice, don't say anything at all.

Robert D. Hales-
We do not "put up our dukes" when someone criticizes our church.
Silence, meekness, and humility are not weakness.
We can lift others through a letter, a kind word, words of encouragement, a comment on a blog (He understands us.)
Bible bashing drives the spirit away. Contention is not the spirit of Christ.
Meekness is the badge of Christian courage.
We should not debate doctrinal differences, but bear our testimony in love.
Be slow to take offense.
Be first to forgive.
Ask first, "Is it I?"
Avoid being judgmental of others beliefs.
Some situations can injure us. It is best for us to walk away and keep our distance.
Do not be provoked.
The Savior warned of persecution and promised peace.
Respond to our accusers with love to show them a better way. The way to Christ.

Keith B. McMullin-
Church welfare plan is God's plan.
The Lord will not always take your afflictions away, but he will comfort and strengthen you.
The ultimate help from God is through his son Jesus Christ.

Elaine S. Dalton-
Help prepare every young woman to prepare to receive all the blessings of the temple.
A call to return to virtue.
Virtue is: chastity, moral purity. . .
You be the one to make a stand for right; even if you stand alone. -Pres. Monson
Exercise more self-discipline.

M. Russell Ballard-
Reminded us of the hardships and sacrifices of the early members of the church.
Shared his father's legacy in South America.
Admonished us to:
Believe as the early saints believed.
Work as the early saints worked.
Serve as the early saints served.
Overcome as the early saints overcame.

Attend the temple more.
Live a disciples life.

President Thomas S. Monson-
He and his beloved wife are celebrating their 60th wedding anniversary.
The only constant is change.
Throughout our lives we experience change.

Find joy in the journey, now!
Live for today.
Make the most of today.
Fingerprints, toys, and laundry will disappear. Cherish them while they are there. You will miss them when they are gone.

Express your love.
Cherish those you hold dear.
Take pleasure in small things.
Never let a problem to be solved become more important than a person to be loved.
Whatever God has blessed you with take it with grateful hands.
Give to Christ the divine gift of gratitude.

My family is coming over for dinner. I hope to get some notes from the afternoon, and final, session.
